Sixteen teams are competing in Japan’s PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL) Season 6 Phase 2 for five places at the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026. The final standings will determine Japan’s representatives when the tournament concludes on 11 October.

There is a second qualification route at stake: the PMJL champion will advance directly to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 Group Stage. The competition began on 4 September and carries a total prize pool of ¥5,000,000.

Five places decided by the table

The top five teams in the final PMJL standings will qualify for BMIC 2026. With 16 teams in the competition, 11 will miss out on a place at the international event.

Eight teams entered Season 6 Phase 2 from Phase 1, while eight qualified through PMOT 2026 Phase 2. The field comprises DOPENESS, HAO, REJECT, REIGNITE, KINOTROPE, MAKING THE ROAD, MAPLE ARMY, Versus, NV-eSports, Diable Weapons, Valor, ATRAS, Involute, moimoi, FL and AEONIAN.

First place brings a ¥3,000,000 prize as well as the PMGC Group Stage berth. The runner-up receives ¥1,000,000, third place takes ¥500,000, and the teams in fourth and fifth each receive ¥200,000. A further ¥100,000 is reserved for the player with the most kills.

How the standings are calculated

PMJL Season 6 Phase 2 is organised into three weeks of competition, each with a Ladder Round and a Main Round. The Ladder Round takes place on Friday with three matches, while the Main Round spans Saturday and Sunday with six matches on each day.

Teams earn Ladder Points according to their final ranking in that round. First place receives 10 points, second gets eight and third takes six; the allocation continues down to one point for eighth.

Main Round matches award both placement and elimination points. A WWCD gives a team 10 placement points, followed by six for second and five for third. Teams placed seventh or eighth receive one placement point, while ninth to 16th receive none. Each elimination adds one point, and the final tournament ranking combines Ladder Points with points from all Main Round matches.

What happens after 11 October

Japan’s five qualifiers will join six teams from India and five from South Korea at the 16-team BMIC 2026. India’s places go to the top six from BMSD 2026, while Dplus and NS RedForce have already secured two of South Korea’s places.

The PUBG Mobile Pro Series Korea will play a role in completing the Korean contingent. For the Japanese teams, the immediate target remains a top-five PMJL finish on 11 October; only the champion will also secure the direct PMGC Group Stage place.
