Apex Gaming claimed the final Upper Bracket place in the BMSD 2026 Semi Finals with a win in the last match of the three-day stage. They finished eighth on 111 points, just one ahead of ninth-placed Vijay Esports, after 18 matches.
Nebula Esports topped the Upper Bracket Survival standings with 178 points, followed by Team Outrage on 165. The top eight advance to the Semi Finals, which begin on October 8, while the bottom eight move into the Lower Bracket Survival.
Apex deliver under pressure
Apex entered Match 18 in 11th place with 91 points and needed 20 more to reach the qualification places. They secured a WWCD with 10 finishes to hit exactly 111 points. One fewer point would have left them in the Lower Bracket.
Hydro helped keep the team in contention with a 1v3 clutch against Version 1 x Blue Army. In another key fight, he took down one of two The Knightmobs players trying to enter the zone, while NinjaBoi eliminated the other with a grenade from distance.
The contest remained tight. MadKings’ Simp eliminated NinjaBoi before Harsh took down Simp. With three Apex players left against Team Outrage’s Slug, Hydro was knocked while searching for him outside the zone. Jonathan then eliminated Slug to complete Apex’s match win and secure their Semi Finals place.
Eight teams advance
Nebula led the stage with 119 finish points and five WWCDs. Team Outrage recorded a stage-high 123 finishes on their way to second place.
Version 1 x Blue Army took third with 136 points, followed by Orangutan on 127. Learn From Past qualified without a WWCD, while GodLike Esports finished sixth with 115 points. 4TR Official and Apex completed the eight Semi Finals qualifiers.
Lower Bracket offers another route
Vijay Esports missed the direct qualification places by one point. IRIS Esports, The Knightmobs, Higg Boson Esports, K9 Esports, HyperCatz, MadKings and Lastade Esports also finished in the bottom eight, but none has been eliminated yet.
They move to the Lower Bracket Survival, which starts on October 4 and features 16 teams. Only the top four there will reach the Semi Finals; the other 12 will be eliminated from BMSD 2026. Apex and the seven other Upper Bracket qualifiers will compete in the Semi Finals from October 8.
