Nemiga swept tournament favourites Team Vitality 2-0 in the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 semi-final, winning Cache 13-8 and Dust 2 13-11 to secure a place in the Grand Final.

It is Nemiga’s first appearance in the final of a Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 event. Nikita “robo” Dushin led the series with 46 kills, while Vitality’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut recorded 31.

Nemiga seize control on Cache

Nemiga chose Cache and made a 7-1 start, putting Vitality under pressure on the opening map. Vitality took the last few rounds of the half, but Nemiga followed with a strong CT-side performance to close out a 13-8 win.

Nemiga selected Cache and Vitality chose Dust 2. Nemiga had banned Inferno, Vitality had removed Ancient, and Mirage was left over after the later bans of Anubis and Nuke.

Vitality were not playing with their full lineup at the event. In-game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire was away for the birth of his child, with Justinas “jL” Lekavičius standing in and William “mezii” Merriman taking over the calling.

Dust 2 comeback completes the sweep

Vitality lost the T-side pistol round on their own map pick but recovered to take an 8-4 lead into the second half. Nemiga then repeatedly found openings in Vitality’s CT-side defence, turning a four-round deficit into a victory.

Vitality managed only three rounds in the second half as Nemiga won Dust 2 by 13-11. The result ended the semi-final in two maps.

A first Tier 1 final awaits

Nemiga reached the Grand Final after falling into the 1-2 bracket of the Swiss stage. They have not dropped a map since then.

The win over Vitality gives Nemiga a place in a Tier 1 CS2 final for the first time.
