Matches 4 and 5 of the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals were rehosted on Day 1 after four teams appeared in a game lobby without their players on stage in Hyderabad. In Match 5, K9 Esports eliminated all four unattended squads before KRAFTON India restarted the game, wiping out K9’s 16 finishes.

The affected teams were GodLike Esports, Myth Official, Revenant XSpark and Version 1 x Blue Army. Their IDs had entered the lobby, but their players were not in their seats when play began. KRAFTON India had not explained how that happened or published an official statement on the rehost at the time of the report.

How Match 5 unfolded

Match 5 was Day 1’s first Miramar game, following three matches on Erangel and one on Rondo. With nobody controlling the four teams in the lobby, K9 found and eliminated all 16 idle players.

KRAFTON India then rehosted the match, voiding the original result. That means none of K9’s 16 finishes from that game count towards the Grand Finals standings. The source also reports that Match 4 was rehosted, but provides no separate account of what happened in that match.

The points at stake

Under BMSD scoring, each finish is worth one point. K9’s 16 voided finishes therefore represented at least 16 points from the original Match 5, before any placement points were taken into account.

K9 had won Match 1 and were third on the Day 1 table after Match 3 with 40 points. Blitz Esports led at that stage with 50, followed by Team Outrage on 42. With 18 matches in the Grand Finals, the cancelled finishes were a substantial return from a single game, although they cannot be added to K9’s official total.

For the four teams whose players were not on stage, the rehost prevented an unattended match from standing as their result. Had it counted, they would have taken zero points from that game in a 16-team event.

What happens next

The Grand Finals continue until October 18 at Savaaya Convention. The Day 3 Smash Rule sets its target at the Day 2 leader’s points plus 10, so every point banked on Day 1 shapes the race for the title.

The rehosted Match 5 result, rather than the voided game, will determine what K9 and the other teams take from that fixture. All matches are streamed on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.
