The BMSD 2026 Grand Finals will take place in Hyderabad from 16 to 18 October, with 16 teams competing for the BGMI Showdown title. The line-up is confirmed following the conclusion of the Last Chance stage.

Godlike Esports, Team Soul, Team Apex Gaming, Revenant XSpark and Genesis are among the teams named for the finals. The event will feature 18 matches across three days, with six matches scheduled each day.

How teams reached the finals

The 16 finalists come from three stages of the competition. Four places went to the top teams from Qualifiers Group A, eight came through the Semi Finals, and the remaining four were decided at Last Chance.

With Last Chance complete, the focus shifts to the Hyderabad finals. All 16 teams will compete across the three-day schedule, but the title will not necessarily go to the side with the most points after the final match: a rule introduced on Day 3 could settle it earlier.

How the Smash Rule works

After the first 12 matches, the points total of the team in first place will set the Match Point threshold. That threshold will be 10 points higher than the leader’s total after Match 12.

A team becomes Match Point Eligible once it reaches the threshold. The first eligible team to secure a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) will be crowned BMSD 2026 champion. Reaching the threshold alone is therefore not enough; an eligible team must also win a match to claim the title under the Smash Rule.

If no eligible team secures a WWCD during the final six matches, the championship will instead go to the team with the highest overall points after all 18 matches.

What happens next

The finals begin on 16 October and run through 18 October in Hyderabad. The first 12 matches will establish the points benchmark for the Smash Rule, before the final six matches determine whether an eligible team wins by WWCD or the overall points leader takes the title.

Supporters unable to attend the LAN finals can watch the matches on the official Krafton India Esports YouTube channel. Coverage will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi and English.
