PETALING JAYA — Former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has been appointed chairman of the Football Association of Malaysia’s Integrity Committee for the remainder of the 2025–2029 term.
FAM president Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan announced the appointment today after chairing the sixth Executive Committee meeting of the term at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya on Wednesday, 30 September. Ab Ghani said appointing individuals from outside the Executive Committee for specific posts is based on their credibility and experience in related fields to strengthen the governing body’s administration. Ayob Khan’s deputy will be Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, Director-General of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA).
“We want individuals with credibility to administer these committees and ensure that FAM’s management and governance can be carried out as best as possible,” Ab Ghani said.
Wednesday’s meeting also saw the appointment of chairmen and deputy chairmen for 11 standing committees:
- Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri as chairman of the Stadium and Security Committee, with DCP Datuk Mohd Rozi Jidin as deputy chairman.
- Datuk N. Saaran as chairman of the Legal Committee and deputy chairman of the Finance and Management Committee.
- Datuk Seri Rosmadi Ismail as chairman of the Technical and Development Committee and deputy chairman of the National Football Team Management Committee.
Ab Ghani said all standing committee chairmen have seven working days to nominate their members.
He also confirmed that Datuk Noor Azman Rahman remains FAM secretary-general, with his contract running until the end of 2027, and that Datuk Ismail Karim continues as treasurer for the remainder of the term.
