FLC has dropped Fortnite player David “Huty” Kochet after a broadcast camera caught him making a middle-finger gesture at the 2026 FNCS Global Championship in Antwerp, Belgium. The organisation announced on September 30 that its collaboration with him had ended immediately, less than a week after he joined.

Huty competed alongside F1shyX at the tournament, held at Antwerp’s Lotto Arena on September 26 and 27. They finished 34th out of 50 duos, earning 188 points across 12 matches at an event with a $2 million prize pool.

FLC cites conduct and other concerns

In its statement, FLC said Huty’s behaviour was incompatible with its values. It referred specifically to his conduct during the Global Championship, while also saying that “additional elements” had recently been brought to its attention and made public. The organisation did not give further details about those concerns.

“At FLC, we attach fundamental importance to respect, integrity and exemplary conduct, both on and off the stage,” the organisation said.

FLC said it had deliberately waited until the tournament was over to address the situation. It believed making a statement during Globals could have affected the team’s preparation and the chemistry between Huty and F1shyX.

The organisation stressed that F1shyX had no involvement in the matter. It said he did not deserve to have his Global Championship experience disrupted by the controversy involving his teammate.

A signing that lasted less than a week

Huty had joined FLC on September 25, one day before the Global Championship began, following his departure from Pandore Esport. FLC’s September 30 announcement brought that short association to an end only days after the duo’s tournament appearance.

The organisation also parted ways with members of its management team who had been involved in recruiting Huty. It said their actions did not reflect its standards but did not identify the departing staff members.

What follows the decision

FLC acknowledged that signing Huty may have disappointed members of its community and apologised for how the situation unfolded. Its statement leaves the additional concerns it cited unexplained, while making clear that it does not hold F1shyX responsible for his former teammate’s conduct.

The decision follows a Global Championship that ended on September 27, with FLC choosing to announce its response only after Huty and F1shyX had completed their 12 matches.
