Defending champions 4Thrives have been eliminated from PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 after finishing last in Group B. The Pakistani team collected 11 points across six Group Stage matches, leaving them outside both the direct Grand Finals places and the Survival Stage.

The early exit came on home turf as Pakistan hosts its first S-tier international PUBG Mobile tournament. 4Thrives entered Season 2 having won PMGO 2026 Season 1, but their title defence ended before either of the tournament’s remaining stages.

Group B results leave champions behind

4Thrives finished 16th in Group B with eight eliminations and three placement points making up their 11-point total. Their roster for the competition featured IQ, Falak, T24OP, Huzaifa and Nocki.

At the other end of the standings, Wolves topped the group with 64 points, one ahead of Vampire Esports. ULF Esports placed third on 56 points, while The MongolZ, Regnum Carya and BUF Esports completed the top six.

Those six teams qualified directly for the Grand Finals. 4Thrives’ last-place finish also put them below the positions needed to enter the Survival Stage, which takes teams placed seventh to 14th in each group.

A sharp reversal after Season 1 success

The result contrasts with 4Thrives’ earlier performances in 2026. They won PMGO Season 1 in Jakarta, finished sixth at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 and won the South Asia Finals of both PMGO seasons.

The team also represented Pakistan in winning a PUBG Mobile bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Four months after becoming PMGO Season 1 champions, however, they could not extend their Season 2 campaign in front of their home crowd.

Their eight eliminations over six Group Stage matches were not enough to keep them in contention. With no place in either qualifying route, 4Thrives will not feature in the Grand Finals.

Survival Stage and Grand Finals ahead

The Survival Stage is scheduled for 22 October, with eight teams from Group B joining eight from Group A. Group B’s representatives are Alpha7, 777 Esports, The Vicious, R8 Esports, iKURD ESPORTS, Cryptics, 18 Esports and Alter Ego Ares.

The 16 teams will play six matches, with only the top four advancing. They will join 12 direct qualifiers in the 16-team Grand Finals on 24 and 25 October, when 13 matches are scheduled and the Smash Rule will be used on the final day to decide the champion.
